The TFH 99, Liberty Red, is a beautiful and delicious fig tree variety that you don't want to miss. This large seedling was discovered in Tehama County and boasts a bush-like canopy that stretches approximately 25 feet wide. With yellow to green skin and red ribs, this average-sized fig tree produces figs with juicy red interiors with light seed crunch. The flavor of this fig is sweet also reminiscent of a just underripe blueberry, in that it has blueberry undertones but still has that bit of tartness. They are perfect for snacking or baking. All cuttings are 6 inches or longer, with 3 or more nodes. All cuttings will be freshly sealed at time of shipping. This was a 2019 find, and for the sake of transparency, we cannot yet confirm if it is common. Cuttings have been sent out of the area for growing and confirmation.
